Western Blonde Salon was created with a vision to build something different a salon where exceptional hair, genuine hospitality, continued education, and a strong sense of community come together.
Founded by Shalene, a stylist, educator, and salon owner with 16 years of experience behind the chair, Western Blonde is deeply rooted in both family and Shalene’s lifelong connection to the beauty industry.
The name Western Blonde has a story of its own. It was inspired by Shalene’s daughter a blonde barrel racer whose Western lifestyle and spirit became the inspiration behind a brand that combines elevated beauty with a little Western soul.
But Shalene’s connection to the industry started long before Western Blonde. Her grandfather was a barber and an important role model in her life. Growing up around the industry gave her an early appreciation for the creativity, relationships, independence, and opportunities a career in beauty can provide. What began as a love for doing hair eventually grew into a passion for developing people and creating careers.
After 16 years behind the chair, Shalene is still actively working with guests, allowing her to stay connected to the heart of the industry and the experience of both the guest and the stylist.
Western Blonde has since grown into two locations in Georgetown and North Austin, but growth has never meant losing what made the salon special in the first place.
We believe luxury shouldn't feel stuffy or intimidating. It should feel personal, welcoming, and authentic.

We are proudly a working education salon, where Associates work alongside experienced stylists and Educators through hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world salon experience.
Our education model allows emerging artists to continue developing their technical skills, confidence, guest experience, and business behind the chair while learning from established professionals.
And education doesn't end when someone completes our Associate Program. Our entire team is encouraged to continue learning, evolving, and perfecting their craft throughout their careers.
